The Karnataka Chief Electoral Office is making several efforts to educate voters on the electoral process and motivate them to participate in voting. Vote Fest, Bike Rally, street plays are organised to create awareness. In line with such efforts, the Karnataka State Chief Electoral office has invited the transgenders to create wall paintings to spread the message of adult franchise. This will also encourage the transgenders to be part of the mainstream. The newly constructed three-storey building within the premises of Chief Electoral Office will be given to the Aravani Art team for this purpose. Apart from this, the artists will be allowed to paint metro rail pillars, government buildings and walls beside main roads. Aravani is an organisation working for the empowerment of the transgenders and to bring them into the mainstream of society.
