Karnataka Chief Minister B.S.Yedyurappa has ruled out his ouster, though conciliatory talks with the rebels failed. Talking to newspersons in Bangalore, he claimed that his government was stable and would complete its term. However, the crisis seems to be far from over. The rebels have been summoned to Delhi by the party high command, after senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley failed to stamp out dissidence against the chief minister. In a bid to resolve the crisis, Mr Yeddyurappa is understood to have offered the post of Deputy Chief Minister to Jagdish Shettar. But the rebels are sticking to their demand for a change of leadership.
