In Karnataka, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike will set up vaccination centers in all the municipal wards, block and lane to accelerate the Covid inoculation drive. Special Commissioner in charge of Health in the municipality D Randeep said that the centers will start functioning from Monday onwards. AIR correspondent reports that all the 198 municipal wards in Bengaluru corporation limits will have vaccination centers being set up in every block and lane from Monday.<br />''<br />''Special Commissioner D Randeep has said that the primary health centre doctors led teams will visit door to door and collect information on people who are yet to be vaccinated for first or both the doses of Covid vaccine. They will create awareness about the efficacy of vaccines in preventing deaths due to Covid infection.<br />''<br />''As of now 77,19,506 people have taken the first dose which is 85 percent of the adult population in the city. In the next one month the target is to vaccinate 95 percent of people in the city. The vaccination centers to be set up at the block level will cover 750 to 1000 houses and each ward level centre will cover 15 to 50 blocks.
