In Karnataka, 1,694 new COVID-19 positive cases were  reported while 471 patients were discharged from various hospitals after recovery during the last twenty four hours. Twenty one more Corona deaths were reported during the period.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''According to the State Health and Family Welfare Ministry report, among the new cases 994 from Bengaluru, 97 each from Dakshina Kannada and Ballari, 72 from Kaluburugi, 57 from Tumkuru  district. The total number of positive cases has  gone up to 19,710  and total number of recovered patients has risen to 8,805 in the state. A total number of 10,608 active cases are under treatment in various hospitals in the State. The total number of deaths has risen to 293.  Total 201 patients including 121 from Bengaluru are in ICU. In all, 18,307 swab samples were tested in the various district and taking the total to 6,71,934. No new case was reported from the Chikmagaluru district today. </span><br />
