Karma being celebrated across Jharkhand

In Jharkhand, the ancient tribal festivals of Nature worship – ‘Karma’ is being celebrated all over the state with traditional festivity. The festival is also seen as the celebration of strong love between brothers and sisters.Tribal men and women are dressed up in traditional ‘dhoti and Sari’.The festivity also celebrate the tribal values that only good human deeds are important for being religious.Large procession with ‘Sarna’ religious flags are being take out in different parts of capital Ranchi and other towns of the state.The main function is being held at ‘Sarna Devbhumi’ of Harmu in Ranchi, were the ‘Pahans’ – the tribal priests, would perform ‘Puja’.Jharkhand Governor Sayyed Ahmed, Chief Minister Arjun Munda and Speaker of state Assembly C P Singh have greeted the people at this occasion.
