<span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, after the improvement in the weather conditions and rise in temperature, Kargil District Police have advised the public to avoid venturing in avalanche-prone zones as during the past few days several snow avalanches have hit roads in the district specifically on the Kargil-Drass road. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The people have also been advised to postpone their travel plans through the roads exposed to avalanches. However, in case of unavoidable journeys, travel through all avalanche prone roads in the district must be planned early morning or evening hours.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' Meanwhile, through a snow and ice-melt advisory, the District Police have informed that the increase in temperature throughout the district from last few days has given rise to the formation of  overhung icicles and melting snow masses on rooftops of houses, buildings and sheds. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In this regard, people have been advised to secure themselves and their properties from these falling icicles and snow masses.
