In Pakistan, the port city of Karachi continue to bleed with five more deaths reported overnight. With this, the death toll in the ongoing violence has increased to 43 in two days. On Thursday, 38 people were killed in torture and firing incidents in different parts of the metropolis. Police said a bullet-riddled body of a youth was found in a gunny bag near Kharadar Jamatkhana ahead of ramzan fasting. A man was gunned down in Gulshan-e-Iqbal while two people injured in Sheerin Jinnah colony succumbed to injuries in hospital. The fresh spate of violence had started on Wednesday with the killing of former member of the National Assembly along with 15 others.
