The Human Resource Development Minister Mr. Kapil Sibal today launched CBSE-I for the benefited of students residing abroad. Mr. Sibal said that the students will get all teaching materials on the website. Central Board of Secondary Education will involve 26 schools in the foreign countries for the purpose. It will be started in India in 50 schools on pilot basis including Kendriya Vidyalaya and affiliated schools.
The Minister also launched National Vocational Education Qualification Framework to be implemented in Polytechnics, Engineering Colleges in the forthcoming session. At least five million students are likely to benefit from it. The programmes are sectors specific. Sectors like IT, Media, Entertainment, Telecommunications, Mobile Communications, Automobile, Construction, Retail, Food Processing, Tourism, Hotels, Jewellery Design, and Fashion Design are among others.
