The Kanoria Jute Mill at Howrah’s Uluberia in West Bengal is re-opening after a gap of five years. A decision to this effect was taken at the Writers Buildings in Kolkata on Friday in presence of the West Bengal Labor Minister Purnendu Basu, representative of the workers’ union and the mill owners. Talking to newspersons after the signing of the agreement, Purnendu Basu said that the mill will reopen on the 22nd of next month. He said that the dues of the workers will be paid up after re-opening of the mill.
