In Uttar Pradesh all three nomination papers filed for Kannauj Lok Sabha seat by elections have been found valid after scrutiny. Scrutiny of papers took place today. Our Allahabad correspondent reports that Ruling Samajwadi Party nominee Dimple Yadav, wife of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and two others including Dashrath Shankhawar from Sanyukta Samjwadi Party and Sanjeev alias SanjuKatiyar as Independent candidate are in fray for the by election.None of the major political parties including main opposition Bahujan Samaj Party BSP, Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party BJP have fielded their nominees for this by election, which has been necessitated after resignation of Akhilesh Yadav from the Lok Sabha after being elected for the Upper House of the State Legislature.June 9 is last date for withdrawal while voting will be held on June 24.
