Ms. Kanimozhi, DMK Member of Parliament and daughter of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Mr. M. Karunanidhi today appeared before Income Tax authorities in Chennai in response to summons issued by the department. Ms. Kanimozhi appeared before Deputy Director (Investigations), Mr. Ramakrishna Bandi and clarified certain details sought by the IT department in relation to the 2G scam. Official sources said that inquiries were also conducted about the 200 crore rupee allegedly received and returned by Kalingar TV to a company. The sources also said that the summons had also been issued to two other Directors of Kalaingar TV including Sharad Kumar. The investigations last for over one and a half hours.
