Kandy test: India off to a steady start scoring 329 for 6 on day one against Sri Lanka

India were 329 for 6 at stumps in the third and final Cricket Test against Sri Lanka at Kandy. Ridhiman Saha on 13 and Hardik Pandya on 1 were at crease on day one. Earlier, the Visitors won the toss and decided to bat first. Opener Shikhar Dhawan smashed his sixth Test hundred. K L Rahul made 85, while Kohli contributed 42 runs.For the hosts, Pushpakumara took 3, Sandakan2 and Fernando one wicket. Holding a two-nil lead after winning the first two matches by comprehensive margins, Virat Kohli and his men stand on the cusp of history, aiming to become the first Indian team to complete a whitewash in an overseas three-Test series. India have never won a full Test series abroad in 85 years since their debut in 1932.
