Mr. Kamlesh Sharma has been re-appointed as commonwealth Secretary General for another four year term. This was announced by the Australian Prime Minister and the CHOGM 2011 host Julia Gillard in Perth after the Commonwealth Heads of Governments ended their three day Meeting on Sunday.

Giving details of Mr. Sharma's re-election, Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, Dilip Sinha said, India proposed his name and Pakistan seconded it.

Mr. Sharma thanked the Commonwealth leaders and said that he will do more hard work to fulfill the expectations of the commonwealth people.
