Union Minister for Urban Development Mr. Kamal Nath today laid the foundation stone of Jaipur Metro Rail Project. The Chief Minister, Mr. Ashok Gehlot and the Chairman of DMRC, Mr. E. Sridharan were also present on this occasion. The first phase of 9.25 KMs of Jaipur metro will be completed in June 2013 and it will be done by DMRC. Kamal Nath announced that work for second phase of jaipur metro will also be started this year and central govt will provide all help for this 24 KMs phase.
