Suresh Kalmadi has been removed as Chairman of Delhi commonwealth games Organising Committee with immediate effect. Lalit Bhanot has also been sacked as Secretary General of Organising Committee. Mr Kalmadi has been asked to hand over charge to Games CEO Jarnail Singh. AIR correspondent quoting official sources reports the decision to remove Kalmadi and Bhanot was taken by Sports Minister Ajay Maken in the interest of impartial probe.
