Kallis, Narine take KKR to 41-run win over Mumbai Indians in IPL

Kolkata Knight Riders recorded a thumping 41-run victory over defending champions Mumbai Indians in the opening match of the seventh Indian Premier League at Abu Dhabi last night. Opting to bat first, Kolkata lost skipper Gautam Gambhir in the first over. Jacques Kallis and Manish Pandey, then, shared 131 runs for the second wicket, as Kolkata posted 163 for 5. Kallis made 72, while Manish Pandey scored 64. Lasith Malinga bagged 4 wickets for Mumbai.Chasing 164, West Indian spinner Sunil Narine scalped 4 Mumbai wickets, as the defending champions managed to make just 122 for 7 in the alloted 20 overs. Ambati Rayadu top scored with 48. Kallis was adjudged man of the match.Today, Delhi Daredevils will clash with Royal Challengers Bangalore in Sharjah at 8 PM Indian Time.
