Kallis makes test memorable by scoring 115 runs against India

South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis made his farewell Test a memorable one by smashing a 115-run knock to take the Proteas to a comfortable 395 for seven at lunch on day four of the second cricket Test against India today. Kallis, playing in his 166th match, scored his 45th ton and in the process has put 13,289 runs to his credit in the Test matches. The has taken him one run ahead of Rahul Dravid, who retired last year after playing 164 Tests. Kallis is now third behind Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting in the all-time list. At Kingsmead, play started under overcast conditions 30 minutes before schedule once again, as South Africa began at their overnight score of 299/5 in reply to the visitors' first innings total of 334.
