Kolkata Knight Riders have named Jacques Kallis as their head coach. The former South African all-rounder will succeed the now England coach Trevor Bayliss who was with the IPL team for four years.Kallis was a KKR player since 2011 and last year became their batting consultant and mentor. He was the part of the team which won IPL titles in 2012 and last year.On his new role, Kallis said, KKR is his family in India and he looks forward to the new challenge.Kallis had played 98 IPL matches in which he scored more than 2,400 runs, and bagged 65 wickets.For South Africa, he scored more than 10,000 runs in both ODIs and Tests, besides taking 273 wickets in one dayers, and 292 wickets in Tests.
