In Jammu and Kashmir, a traditional route for the Kailash yatra , which was closed due to the militancy, was today thrown open for the pilgrims after 15 years in Udhampur district. Kailash yatra, an annual pilgrimage, which was once used to follow a Dudu-Kailash Kund route was closed after militancy hit the terrain in mid 90s. A police source told UNI that nearly 2,000 devotees including women and children left this morning for the Kailash Kund from Vasuki Naag Temple situated in Dudu belt of Reasi district.
