Kabul: At least six civilians killed, several wounded in suicide attack

At least six civilians were killed and several others were wounded in a suicide attack near a security checkpoint leading to the Foreign Ministry in Kabul on 27<sup>th</sup> March 2023, Monday.<br />'' <br />''In a tweet, Taliban's Interior Ministry spokesperson Abdul Nafy Takor said the attacker was identified by Afghan forces who shot at him in front of a business centre near the foreign ministry. With his killing, the explosives carried by the attacker also exploded.<br />'' <br />''Today's blast was the second attack near the Foreign Ministry in Kabul in less than three months. Kabul and other urban areas have been hit by several attacks in recent months, some of which have been claimed by Islamic State militants. In January, a suicide bomber blew himself up near the foreign ministry, killing 10 and wounding 53 people.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Taliban administration has said that it is focused on securing the country and that it has carried out several raids against suspected Islamic State members in recent weeks.</span><br />
