Kabaddi World Cup: India crush Bangladesh with 57-20

In Kabaddi World Cup, defending champions India played up to their status and recorded a convincing 57-20 win over Bangladesh in a crucial league match played in Ahmedabad last night. In the beginning, Bangladesh looked well prepared and put some pressure on the hosts by some quick back to back points. But soon, India started to respond strongly and by the end of the first half, the score was 27-10. The home team, then, continued their devastating form in the second half and won the game with ease.India now lead Pool-A with 11 points. Before last night's win, they had won against Australia following a shock defeat at the hands of South Korea in the opening game. Korea is second. Earlier yesterday, last time runners-up Iran faced an unexpected fight from Kenya but managed to win by a close margin, 32-28, in a thrilling match.
