Ace Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth crashed out of the Dubai Superseries Finals after suffering second consecutive defeat in Men's singles today. World No 7 Chen took 43 minutes to stun the fourth ranked Indian 21-18, 21-18 in a Group B match. Srikanth had lost his opening match to defending champion Viktor Axelsen yesterday. Even though he still has a match left in Group B, Srikanth has virtually no chance of making the next stage. He will now face All England Open finalist Shi Yuqi of China tomorrow in his last and final match of the group.The only other Indian shuttler in the tournament,Olympic silver medalist Sindhu faces Japan's Syaka Sato in her second round Women's singles match later today. Sindhu started her campaign on a positive note yesterday by earning a point after defeating World No. 9, He Bingjiao of China, in a Group A match.
