Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth today made a shock exit from the Macau Open Badminton tournament in the opening round. Srikanth, who was the top seed, lost to unseeded Jonatan Christie of Indonesia, in straight games, 21-16, 23-21. B. Sai Praneeth, however, advanced to the second round. He defeated Indonesia's Fikri Ihsandi Hadmadi, 21-18, 23-21.HS Prannoy and Ajay Jayaram are yet to play their first round matches today. PV Sindhu, the two time defending champion, will play her tournament opener tomorrow. Sindhu is the only Indian in the Women's Singles, as world number two Saina Nehwal is not taking part in this competition. The pair of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa will also play in the opening round tomorrow.
