Jyotiraditya Scindia writes to CMs of 5 States for strengthening aviation Infrastructure

<span style="color: #222222;">Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya  Scindia has written to Chief Ministers of Puducherry, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal seeking their personal intervention in expediting the matters for strengthening of aviation infrastructure in the states. <br />''<br />''Airport Authority of India, AAI has embarked upon development and expansion of airports in the country at a cost of  20 thousand crore  rupees in the next 4 to 5 years in order to meet the growing passenger demand in the country.</span><br />''<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In the letter, Mr Scindia has drawn attention of  Chief Minister of Puducherry, N Rangasamy on issue of handling over of land to AAI for development of the Puducherry airport.</span><br />''<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">While writing to  Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot,  Mr Scindia underscored the issues that are impacting the implementation of various projects pertaining to aviation sector in state. They include 145 acres of land requirement at Udaipur airport for upgradation of runway and 58.88 acres of land  at Bikaner airport for expansion of Civil Enclave.</span><br />''<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In his letter to  Tamil Nadu  Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Civil Aviation Minister highlighted the  issues that are impacting the implementation of various projects pertaining to aviation sector in the  state including 446 acres of land  requirement  for upgradation of Salem airport.</span><br />''<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath,  Mr Scindia  drew his attention on issues that are impacting the implementation of various projects pertaining to aviation sector in state including 660 acres of land  requirement  for phase wise development of Ayodhya airport and 60 acres of land at Gorakhpur airport for development of New Civil Enclave.</span><br />''<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Writing to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee,  the Civil Aviation Minister drew her attention towards projects including  land requirement of over 104 acres for development of the Bagdogra airport.</span><br />
