In Assam, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi unveiled the statues of Jyoti Prasad Agarwala, Bishnu Prasad Rabha and Phani Sarma in front of the Guwahati district library yesterday.The trio were the cultural icons of the state. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Gogoi remembered the contribution made by the trio to the field of art, culture and literature. He also said that the State Government would spend 15 crore rupees annually to buy books for the government libraries.
