The condition of the ailing Marxist leader and former West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu continues to remain critical but stable. There is no further improvement in his health since last 24 hours. He has been put on partial ventilation in a private hospital in Kolkata. The medical Board constituted for Mr. Basu's treatment today had video conference with a group of specialist doctors of AIIMS in Delhi on the line of treatment.<br/><br/> The Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh who visited Kolkata yesterday, to see the veteran leader offered treatment by specialists if required by the Medical Board. The former Prime Minister Mr.H.D.Devegowda and some other eminent persons cutting across party lines visited the hospital today to see the veteran leader.
