The condition of veteran communist leader and former West Bengal Chief Minister Mr. Jyoti Basu remains critical but stable at the AMRI hospital in Saltlake city of Kolkata. His heart beat and pulse rate are near normal and his lung functioning is still irregular. Mr. Basu has been kept in the ICU under ventilation.<br/><br/>A medical bulletin released by the hospital authorities on Monday said that Mr. Basu is being fed liquid diet.<br/><br/>The next medical bulletin will be released later in the evening after a meeting of the meeting of five member medical team constituted to look after Mr. Basu's health.
