Veteram Marxist leader and former West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu continues to be in critical condition. According to a medical bulletin issued last evening, the urinary output of Mr. Basu has slightly improved with medicines. Kidney function is also under watch. Mr. Basu has been kept under partial ventilation. A team of doctors are continuously monitoring his health. Mr. Basu has been admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata on 1st of this month following attack of pneumonia.
