The health of veteran communist leader and former West Bengal Chief Minister Mr. Jyoti Basu is slightly better than yesterday. His lungs infection has been contained to a small extent and his blood pressure has been kept near normal through medication. Mr.Basu is responding to treatment for the central nervous system and his cardio vascular functioning has improved. A latest medical bulletin released from the AMRI hospital in Kolkata says that his cardiovascular functioning has improved. Mr. Basu's urine output is being induced by injection and doctor are still concerned about his kidney functioning, while his pulse rate is occasionally getting irregular. The next medical bulletin will be released late in the evening.
