The Indian duo of Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa were knocked out of the women's doubles quarter-finals of the World Badminton Championships being played in Jakarta. Commonwealth Games gold medallists lost to Japanese pair of Naoko Fukuman and Kurumi Yonao lost 23-25, 14-21. Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu will play their respective women's singles quarter-finals later in the day.
