In West Best Bengal, normal activities have been stalled in 59 jute mills in the state due to indefinite strike called by the different trade unions from Monday. The State Labour Minister Mr. Anandi Shahoo told AIR Kolkata correspondent that workers called strike on 13 points Charter of Demands including revision of daily wages, payment of gratuity and other dues. The State government called tripartite meeting in Kolkata on Sunday evening but failed to settle the impasse.<br/><br/>
