Justice Rakesh Ranjan Prasad, the senior-most Judge of the Manipur High Court has assumed charge of the Chief Justice of the High Court. An official press release of the state government said, this is consequent upon the relinquishment of the charge of office of the Chief Justice of the High Court by Justice Laxmi Kanta Mohapatra.
