Former Chief Justice of Supreme Court , Justice P Sathasivam has been sworn in as the 23rd Governor of Kerala. Acting Chief Justice of Kerala High Court, Justice Ashok Bhushan administerd the oath of office at a function held at Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram.

Earlier, speaking to reporters at Coimbatore, before leaving for Thiruvananthapuram, Justice Sathasivam said he would endeavour to build a cordial relationship between the State and the Centre. Justice Sathasivam is the first Supreme Court Chief Justice, being appointed as Governor.
