Andhra Pradesh High Court Justice C.V. Nagarjuna Reddy has resigned expressing anguish over the unruly scenes that the High Court has been witnessing for the last four days. He has reportedly faxed his resignation letter to the President and Chief Justices of Supreme Court and the High Court. It is learnt that Justice Nagarjuna Reddy, in his resignation letter has mentioned that he was targeted by some advocates who were angered that he continued to hear the cases despite their call for boycott of courts. It is known that the advocates belonging to Telangana region have been disrupting the proceedings in the High Court for the last four days, demanding that the government should earmark 42 per cent of posts of government advocates and standing counsels for Telangana lawyers.
