India have entered the semifinals of the Men's Junior Hockey World Cup tournament after defeating Spain 2-1 in the quarterfinal in Lucknow today. At Half-time, the hosts were trailing 0-1. India will meet Australia in the semi-final tomorrow. The other semi-final will be played between Belgium and Germany. In their quarterfinal matches, Australia won playing Netherlands 2-1, Belgium defeated Argentina 4-1, while Germany overcame England 4-2. The goal scorers for India today were Simranjeet Singh in the 57th minute and Harmanpreet in the 66th minute. However earlier, Marc Serrahima provided Spain the lead in the 22nd minute.
