Junior doctors call off their week-long strike in MP

In Madhya Pradesh, junior doctors called off their strike Sunday evening. The decision was taken after a meeting between chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and representatives of junior doctors in Bhopal on Sunday. Official sources said Mr. Chouhan assured junior doctors that their all demands will be fulfilled. He also assured them that all the arrested doctors will be released and there will be no reduction from their stipend for the strike period.Junior doctors on strike from Monday were demanding increase in their stipend, reduction in their rural bond period to one year and implemention of Doctors Protection Act.
