A special vigilance court on Thursday extended the judicial remand of former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda till December 23 in the disproportionate assets case. The court of Binoy Kant Khan in Ranchi set December 23 as the next date for hearing. Koda, who is in judicial custody along with other accused Vinod Sinha, Manoj Punamia, Arvind Vyas and Vikash Sinha, was arrested on November 30 by vigilance sleuths after an FIR was filed accusing him of amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.The Enforcement Directorate, the CBI and the Income Tax department are simultaneously probing alleged money laundering and illegal investments of 2000 crore rupees after raiding the premises of Koda and his aides on October 31 last year.
