Judicial custody of NCP leader Sameer Bhujbal extended till March 21

The special Prevention of Money Laundering Act court in Mumbai on Monday extended the judicial custody of NCP leader and former MP Sameer Bhujbal till March 21. Sameer, nephew of NCP leader and former Maharashtra PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on February 1st and was remanded judicial custody on February 8th. <br/><br/>The ED had raided nine places linked to the Bhujbals and their associates in connection with 11 different allegations of money laundering and land grabbing including the Delhi-based Maharashtra Sadan construction scam and the Kalina land grabbing case. Following a high court order the special investigation team, comprising Anti-Corruption Bureau of Maharashtra police and ED, is probing nine allegations against Bhujbal and his relatives.
