Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad introduced the Judicial Appointments Bill in the Lok Sabha today.

The Bill seeks to provide constitutional status to the National Judicial Appointments Commission.
Under its provisions, the judiciary and the executive will have equal say and veto power in the appointment of judges.
