A judge of the Kerala High Court withdrew himself from passing orders in a bunch of cases related to the renewal of bar hotel licenses in Kerala. The hearing in the cases were completed on April 11th and posted for orders. But the judge observed that a counsel met him at his residence and tried to influence him in the case. The Kerala Government earlier refused to renew licenses to 418 bar hotels in Kerala and the hotels managements approached the court against it.
