The Government says a decision on the issue of formation of JPC on 2G will be taken before Wednesday. Parliamentary Affairs Minister P K Bansal told reporters in New Delhi that discussions with Opposition are moving forward and the Government hopes the Budget Session of Parliament will run smoothly. Giving details of the business during the Session, he said 31 Bills will come up for discussion and passage, including the Women Reservation Bill, which provides 33 per cent reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies. The Bill has already been passed by the Rajya Sabha. He said the Economic Survey and Rail Budget would be presented on the 25th and the General Budget on the 28th of this month. The Session will begin on Monday with the address by the President Pratibha Devisingh Patil to the joint sitting of the two Houses.
