Union Health Minister JP Nadda has asked the officials to prepare a comprehensive strategic response framework for Zika virus disease on priority basis. Mr Nadda held high level meeting with the officials of various health institutions to review the preparedness efforts for Zika virus disease and Seasonal Influenza. <br/><br/>An official release said, Mr Nadda reviewed the surveillance at point of entries and laboratory strengthening, preparation and dissemination of guidelines to tackle possible spread of Zika virus disease in the country. He also emphasized the need to focus on source reduction of the mosquito by all means. On Swine Flu, the Health Minister stressed on the need to continue day to day monitoring of the cases.
