BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda has said that the alumni of any institute are a source of inspiration for new students as their achievements and accomplishments are exemplary examples for all.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Nadda was addressing the 'Alumni Meet-2022' of Himachal Pradesh University held at the University campus in Shimla on Sunday.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Nadda said, the alumni meet is an exceptional opportunity to strengthen their relationship with their alma mater, where they can share their memories, experiences and achievements. He said the University started its journey with 11 departments and today it has 44. He said, spread in over 245 bigha land, this University is today considered one of the best in the country. He said that it was his proud privilege that he has also been part of 53 years of glorious history of this University. The BJP President also remembered his teachers and fellow students and shared his experiences and memories in the University.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Nadda urged the students to set their own goals and try to identify the hidden talent in them. He said, one must utilize the talent for the larger interest of the society. He advised students that success can be achieved only with hard work and dedication.<br />'' <br />'' Addressing the event, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said, during last 53 years, the University has had great achievements and has been accredited as an 'A' grade university. He said, this University is now committed to achieve the target of A grade. Mr Thakur said, the University is also striving hard to achieve excellence in the field of sports and other co-curricular activities.<br />'' <br />'' Earlier, the BJP National President and the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Alumni Building to be constructed at a cost of 8.95 crore rupees. They also released a Souvenir 'Summerhill Panorama' and 'Alumni Web portal' on the occasion.<br />'' <br />''On the ocassion, Mr Nadda, film actor Anupam Kher and Director AIIMS Dr Randeep Guleria were honoured with 'Alumni of the Year' award.
