The highway between Joshimath and Badrinath is blocked due to heavy rain in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. A large number of pilgrims were stranded on the yaatra route. Rescue work is going on in the affected area.AIR Correspondent reports, heavy rain has hampered the normal life in Chamoli district today after Uttarkashi with in a week. According to reports about hundred metre long stretch of road has been washed away near Laambagad in flow of water.Whereas, vehicular traffic has blocked near Hanuman Chatti and Marwari, due to landslide. District Magistrat Neeraj Semwal told that Badrinath highway will be repaired in two three days. He advised to pilgrims to avoid the yaatra for Badrinath in view of bad weather.
