JNUSU President Kanhaiya Kumar remanded to police custody by a Delhi court

Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union, JNUSU, President Kanhaiya Kumar has been remanded to three-day police custody by a Delhi court. Kumar was charged with sedition and conspiracy for allegedly indulging in anti-India activities. A group of students on Tuesday held an event on the campus to mark the death anniversary of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. Delhi Police also searched for more students in the University in connection with the case.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, JNU Teachers Association demanded immediate release of all the detainees by the police.<br/><br/>In a related development, Jawahar Lal Nehru University has set up a high level committee to investigate the incident and take appropriate action.
