Jharkhand Mukti Morcha ( JMM) has decided to contest 85 seats in the Bihar assembly elections. Party spokesperson Hemlal Murmu said that JMM will fight assembly elections alone. He said the tie -up with BJP and JD (U) will remain confined to Jharkhand only. JMM has not contested the last assembly elections in 2005. The party had fought Elections in 2001 but lost all 11 seats where it had fielded its candidates.
