Consensus could not be evolved in the BJP Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leaders meeting in New Delhi. The meeting took place amid lack of consensus within the party over formation of an alternative government in Jharkhand.<br/> <br/>Leaders of JMM accompanied by their state allies JDU and AJSU today met senior BJP leaders including party president Nitin Gadkari to discuss the modalities. Former BJP president Rajnath Singh, Party general secretary Anant Kumar and JMM leader Hemant Soren , Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Raghubar Das, AJSU Chief Sudesh Mahato and State JDU leader Jaleshwar Mahato were also present in the meeting.<br/> <br/>Consensus appears to be eluded with one section in the party being in favor of forming a government along with the BJP while the other being open to talk with Congress. Giving a new twist to the impasse, Senior JMM leader Teklal Mahato said that he is open to holding discussions with Congress over formation of an alternative government in Jharkhand.<br/> <br/>But, Deputy Chief Minister and Chief of All Jharkhand Students Union Suresh Chandra Mahato denied any possibility of talks with the UPA saying, the question does not arise.<br/> <br/>BJP had announced withdrawal of support to JMM led government in Jharkhand after Shibu Soren voted against the opposition cut motion in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. However, BJP put it’s decision on hold after Hemant Soren wrote a latter to party chief Nitin Gadkari expressing support to BJP led government in the state.
