Jharkhand Mukti Morcha President Shibu Soren sought time from the Governor to stake claim for government formation in Jharkhand. AIR correspondent reports that Governor's office has asked for a list of legislators supporting Mr Soren. Meanwhile, newly elected BJP MLAs met on Saturday to decide on supporting JMM chief Shibu Soren as the new Chief Minister. JMM Vice-President Hemlal Murmu on Friday claimed that the BJP and AJSU have agreed to support Soren. In the 81-member Assembly, JMM and BJP have 18 MLAs each, while JD(U), an ally of BJP, has 2 MLAs and All Jharkhand Students Union five – adding to 43. Two senior BJP leaders Rajnath Singh and Anant Kumar attended the BJP legislature party meeting. Congress has made it clear that it is not in a hurry to initiate talks for government formation in Jharkhand and will do so without any preconditions. <br/>Earlier, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha chief Shibu Soren was elected its Legislative Party Leader last evening in Ranchi. The meeting also entrusted the party president for talks with like-minded parties on government formation. <br/> <br/>
