In Jammu and Kashmir, security forces today killed another militant who was holed up in a bunker in Pindi Kathar area of R.S. Pura sector along the Indo-Pak border near Jammu. With this, the number of militants killed in the area so far, has reached four. According to Defence sources, the forces had intensified their operation to track down a militant hiding in a bunker since this morning.

In a terror strike on the eve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Jammu Division, militants wearing combat uniform had attacked two Army bunkers in the area which left four civilians and three army men killed in a gun battle.

Forces had succeeded in killing three of the terrorists yesterday. The operation was going on till the last reports came in. The heavily armed militants are suspected to have infiltrated from across the border to carry out a fidayeen attack to disrupt ongoing elections in the State. The identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
