J'khand CM escapes helicopter crash

Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda had a narrow escape today when his helicopter met with an accident while landing at Ranchi Airport. Visiting the site, AIR Correspondent reports that Mr. Munda's helicopter could not make a normal landing and the pilot had to crashland sideways. Chief Minister and other senior officers on board received minor injuries and they have been rushed to Apollo Hospital where their condition is stated to be stable. There were five persons on board including the Chief Minister and his wife. The Chief Minister had earlier today flown to Kuchai at Kharswan to inaugurate a power project. However, the helicopter could not land there also and it had to return back to Ranchi. Our Correspondent reports that eye witnesses saw the helicopter losing control while landing. The helicopter belonged to a private company and was leased to the state government.
